In order to successfully complete an undergraduate, and/or graduate program in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, students need to successfully complete required coursework.

To plan your semester, please consult with your advisor and check the UIC Schedule of Classes for courses offered in a specific term.

200 and 300 level courses are generally for undergraduate students, and vary from 3 to 4 credit hours

400 level courses are open to undergraduate and graduate students, and are 3 and 4 credit hours, respectively

500 level courses are open to graduate students only, and are 4 credit hours

494 and 594 level courses are special topic courses that faculty may offer in new or contemporary topics from time to time
