About
Research Interests
Additive Manufacturing (AM) or Direct Digital Manufacturing is based on a class of new fabrication processes that can directly yield physical objects from Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models. Despite significant progress in the AM field, a number of technical challenges such as size limitation, poor surface quality, low precision, slow fabrication speed and inferior material property still remain.
Professor Pan’s current research goal is to advance the understanding of various facets of AM and to promote its wide application in future engineering systems
